What Mobile DPF Cleaning Involves
Every visit follows the same five steps, whether it's a family car or a works van:

Diagnose. We plug in and read live data alongside the fault codes: filter pressure, calculated soot, exhaust temperatures and airflow.

Decide. If a sensor, pipe or EGR fault caused the blockage, you hear about it before anything else happens.

When Can a DPF Be Cleaned?
Cleaning may be suitable for an intact, soot-blocked filter once the underlying fault is addressed. We check pressure and fault codes first.
Heavy black soot at the tailpipe suggests possible internal filter damage. We would not clean it; replacement assessment is advised. For light soot traces, contact DPF King for further checks. Excessive ash or physical damage can also rule out cleaning.

Diagnosed: high soot loading and DPF pressure, caused by a blocked EGR valve giving low EGR flow.

Why it matters: cleaning alone wouldn't have lasted, because the faulty EGR valve would have kept loading the filter with soot.
